Question
When does the Welsh Government expect lung cancer screening to be rolled out by Cardiff and Vale University Health Board?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Health and Care (Mabon ap Gwynfor)
The Welsh Government is working with Public Health Wales to introduce a national targeted lung cancer screening programme across Wales. Screening is planned to commence on an all-Wales basis from April 2028, with a phased roll-out, initially inviting those in the highest-risk age groups before expanding to the wider eligible population.
