Reading the site
There is no advertising on Open Senedd. We don't use tracking cookies, and we don't use analytics that identify you.
Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs of requests to the site, which include IP addresses.
If you sign in
Sign-in isn't switched on yet, so none of this section applies to anyone at the moment.
Signing in is optional. You only need it to ask questions of the Record with AI, to save searches and to get email alerts. Sign-in is provided by Clerk, and it uses cookies to keep you signed in.
If you sign in, we store your email address, your name if you give one, your language, your saved searches and alert settings, and when you joined and last used your account.
Questions answered with AI
When you ask a question, we send it to Anthropic's API, with passages from the Record, so that it can write an answer.
We store each question with its answer and the number of tokens it used, so we can keep our AI costs under a monthly limit. Please don't put personal information in your questions.
Email alerts
Alert emails are sent through Resend. You can switch alerts off, or delete saved searches, on your account page.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account at any time from your account page, or by emailing feedback@datblygu.cymru.
Deleting your account removes your email address, name, settings, saved searches and alerts. The questions you asked stay in our cost records with their answers, but are no longer linked to you.
Petitions
We don't store the names of people who start or sign petitions. We keep the petition itself and its signature counts.
