Question
How many people were interviewed for the role of chair of the expert advisory panel concerning the design and remit of the new economic development agency for Wales?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Enterprise, Connectivity and Energy (Adam Price)
The chair of the expert advisory panel is an unpaid advisory role and a full public appointment process would neither have been proportionate nor quick enough to ensure we have prompt expert advice to support the establishment of a new development agency. Interviews weren’t conducted for the post, and the appointment was made by the First Minister on the basis of the skills and experience relevant to the role.
