Terms of sale: monitoring reports
Who you're buying from
Monitoring reports are sold by Datblygu Cyf, which runs Open Senedd. You can contact us at feedback@datblygu.cymru.
What you're buying
A subscription to monitoring reports: emails, with a copy you can open in a browser, on the subjects and words you choose. Each report covers the Senedd and the Welsh Government for the period since the last one. It includes an overview, key takeaways, summaries of what was said in the Senedd on your subjects, votes, written questions and answers, committee reports and papers, petitions, Senedd Research, Welsh Government statements and consultations, news headlines and the meetings coming up. Each item links to its source.
You choose weekly reports, sent on Friday afternoon, or daily reports, sent on weekday mornings. You can change your subjects, words, how often and who receives each report at any time from your account.

Datblygu Cyf isn't registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged. The price you pay is the price shown when you subscribe, or in our written quote. Registered charities get 25% off any plan; we may ask for your charity number.
Free trial
Every new subscription starts with a free trial of 14 days. We won't charge you during the trial. If you don't want to carry on, cancel before it ends and you pay nothing. One trial per organisation.
Paying and renewing
You pay at the start of each month or year, by card through Stripe or, for annual and Network plans, by invoice payable within 30 days.
Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. We'll email you at least 14 days before an annual subscription renews, with the price for the next year.
We may change our prices. A change applies from your next renewal, and we'll tell you at least 30 days before. If you don't accept it, you can cancel before the renewal.
Changing your plan
You can move to a bigger plan at any time; we'll charge the difference for the rest of the current period. A move to a smaller plan takes effect at your next renewal.
Cancelling and refunds
You can cancel at any time from your account or by emailing us. Reports carry on until the end of the period you've paid for, and then stop. We don't refund part of a period, except as set out below.
If you subscribe as an individual, for yourself and not for a business, you can also cancel within 14 days of your first payment and get a full refund, less a fair amount for any reports already sent if you asked us to start straight away.
If reports stop for more than seven days because of a fault on our side, we'll extend your subscription by the time lost, or refund that part of your fee if you prefer.
We can end your subscription if you don't pay an invoice within 30 days of a reminder, or if you break these terms, for example by reselling reports. If we stop offering monitoring reports, we'll give you at least 30 days' notice and refund any fees for the time after they stop.
What a report is
Reports are built automatically from public sources: the Senedd's record and published papers, the Welsh Government's announcements and consultations, Senedd Research and news outlets' headlines. The overview, key takeaways and summaries are written with the help of AI, from those sources only, and each point links to the source it rests on.
We work to make reports accurate and complete, but automated selection can miss an item or include one that turns out not to matter, and a summary can get something wrong. A report is a summary of the public record. It isn't legal, financial or professional advice. Check the source before relying on a point for an important decision. If you find a mistake, tell us through the Report an error link and we'll correct it.
News items are headlines and links only. The stories belong to their publishers.
Sharing your reports
You can share reports with people in your own organisation. Network subscribers can share them with their members, as agreed with us. Please don't resell reports, publish them in full or share them more widely without our agreement; you can quote from them as long as you credit Open Senedd. Senedd material in a report is Senedd Commission copyright, reused under its terms, and Welsh Government material is Crown copyright, reused under the Open Government Licence.
Your information
We keep your email address, the subjects, words and recipients you set up, and the reports we send, so we can build and deliver them. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details. The addresses you add as recipients must be people you're entitled to send reports to, and each report tells them who it's from. If you cancel or delete your account, your settings and reports are deleted. We keep a record of each payment for as long as the law requires for our accounts.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't let us limit. Otherwise, for business customers, we aren't liable for loss of profit, business or opportunity, or for any indirect loss, and our total liability in any 12 months is limited to the fees you paid us in those 12 months. If you subscribe as an individual, you keep your legal rights.
The law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
