Will the Counsel General publish any legal advice that has been provided to the Welsh Ministers about the fact that 'greyhounds' are not legally defined in the Prohibition of Greyhound Racing (Wales) Bill?

Atebwyd gan Counsel General and Minister for Delivery
The Prohibition of Greyhound Racing (Wales) Bill was introduced to the Senedd in September 2025. The Bill was scrutinised, amended, debated and then passed by the Senedd on the 17 March 2026.
As part of the Senedd’s scrutiny of the Bill, the Culture, Communications, Welsh Language, Sport and International Relations Committee in their Stage 1 report confirmed they were satisfied with the definition of “greyhound racing”, as drafted, and could not see a compelling welfare case to extend the definition further, and that the term “greyhound” did not require further definition in the legislation.
