What rationale was used to select the locations of public toilets in Powys to be given a share of the recent budget allocation of £500,000 for toilet refurbishments, and what money will be made available to remaining public toilets throughout Powys?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Secretary for Economy, Energy and Planning
The 2025-26 Budget included £500,000 to refurbish a number of public conveniences which have proximity to the strategic road network and tourism destinations across Mid Wales. This includes funding for the first Changing Places facility for disabled users in Mid Wales. The specific conveniences were prioritised by Powys County Council. There are no plans for additional Welsh Government funding in this financial year, but funding for the refurbishment of toilets in Powys may be available from a range of sources, including Powys County Council.
