What guidance and support is the Welsh Government providing to schools to develop and implement consistent mobile phone policies that improve learning, protect pupil wellbeing and support teachers, while ensuring appropriate exemptions for learners with additional learning needs or medical requirements?

A consultation is currently underway on new statutory guidance to support schools to develop and implement mobile phone policies that restrict use during the school day. Subject to the consultation outcome, final guidance and resources will be published in early 2027.
