Question
Will the Cabinet Minister provide an update as to when OpenEyes will be fully rolled out in all health boards for primary care optometry practices?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Health and Care (Mabon ap Gwynfor)
OpenEyes is being implemented across Wales as part of a wider transformation to support integrated eye care and the sharing of clinical information.
Health Boards are scheduled to complete roll out in 2026-27, and I expect each Health Board to prioritise implementing OpenEyes and realise benefits for patients and clinicians at the earliest opportunity.
