Further to WQ100034, what assessment has the Cabinet Minister made since 29 July 2026 of HMICFRS's continuing cause of concern regarding risk assessment and strategic planning at South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, and what actions, deadlines and interim safeguards has she required the Commissioners to implement?

As I set out in my combined response to WQs 100033, WQ100034,100035 and WQ100036, implementation of the HMICFRS findings is a matter for the Commissioners and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
I do not intend to set actions, deadlines or safeguards for the Commissioners to implement; that is for the Commissioners to decide themselves. Updates on South Wales Fire and Rescue Service developments regarding their risk-based intervention programme, prevention and protection governance arrangements and their plans to introduce a Community Risk Management Plan can be found on their website, including in papers to the Board of Commissioners.
