Question
Further to WQ100034, will the Cabinet Minister obtain and publish the current status, responsible lead and target completion date for each of the nine recommendations identified as open in HMICFRS's 29 July 2026 assessment of South Wales Fire and Rescue Service, identifying any without an agreed deadline?

As I set out in my combined response to WQs 100033, WQ100034,100035 and WQ100036, implementation of the HMICFRS findings is a matter for the Commissioners and South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
I do not intend to set actions, deadlines or safeguards for the Commissioners to implement; that is for the Commissioners to decide themselves. Updates on South Wales Fire and Rescue Service developments regarding their risk-based intervention programme, prevention and protection governance arrangements and their plans to introduce a Community Risk Management Plan can be found on their website, including in papers to the Board of Commissioners.
