Question
How many asylum seekers are currently living in Wales as part of the asylum dispersal scheme, by local authority?
Answer
Answered by Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Minister for Social Justice and Equality (Sioned Williams)
The Welsh Government does not hold this information.
The Home Office is responsible for asylum accommodation and publishes quarterly statistics on asylum seekers receiving support, including figures by local authority area in Wales. The latest data from June 2026 can be found here: Immigration system statistics data tables - GOV.UK
