Question
Will the Cabinet Minister confirm a) whether the recent changes to the Sustainable Farming Scheme were considered by the SFS stakeholder group, and b) what transparent scrutiny and stakeholder engagement processes will apply to any future recommendations arising from the red tape review?
Answer
Answered by Cabinet Minister for Rural Resilience and Sustainability (Llyr Gruffydd)
The recent announcement regarding the Animal Health Improvement Cycle does not constitute a change to SFS requirements, but does reduce administrative duplication for members of the relevant Farm Assurance Schemes.
Any further recommendations arising from the review will be for the for Welsh Government to consider how to take forward.
