Question
Will the Cabinet Minister provide an update on the financial assistance application from the Welsh Government for a statue of Twm Carnabwth?
Answer
Answered by Trefnydd, Chief Whip and Cabinet Minister for Culture and Sport (Heledd Fychan)
I recognise the national significance of the Rebecca Riots and the work the local community has undertaken over many years to share and celebrate this important aspect of their local heritage and Wales’ national story.
I am considering advice from officials regarding the financial assistance application for the Twm Carnabwth statue. Any decision must be considered in the context of other Culture portfolio priorities and wider government priorities.
