What action is the Welsh Government taking to support local authorities and emergency responders to ensure timely and effective communication with local residents during wildfire incidents, particularly where fires occur over weekends or outside normal working hours?

The primary responsibility for public communication during emergencies lies with local authorities, emergency responders and other agencies such as Public Health Wales. During major incidents, including the recent wildfires, the Welsh Government plays a co-ordinating role in this activity to ensure consistency of national messaging.
