Emergency alerts are designed to provide clear, immediate information where public safety may be at risk. If recipients cannot understand the message, it can cause confusion, anxiety and delay appropriate action. While I fully support the Welsh language, life-saving communications should be instantly accessible to all who receive them.
I would welcome your views on how future alerts will ensure clear and simultaneous communication in both English and Welsh.
