Andropause is Real, Men Deserve Support Too. Don’t Leave Men Behind, Andropause Care for North Wales

Andropause symptoms are misdiagnosed or dismissed. Men are often prescribed antidepressants instead of having a full hormone blood check, and left without access to appropriate treatment and support. Untreated Andropause can cause: • Severe fatigue, low mood, anxiety and depression. • Strain on relationships and family life. • Men leaving employment due to declining health. • Increased risk of suicide among men who feel they have nowhere to turn.

We are requesting: • A specialist Andropause Clinic in Ysbyty Gwynedd, as the first of its kind in Wales. • Proper training for GPs and health professionals to recognise and treat Andropause. • Public education so that men’s hormone health is openly discussed, just like menopause. • Investment from Welsh Government into dedicated men’s health services across Wales. Why This Matters Supporting men through Andropause means: • Healthier men, healthier families • Reduced pressure on mental health services • Stronger communities and workplaces
