What action is the Welsh Government taking to ensure that local authorities provide meaningful access to play for disabled children with complex needs?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Minister for Social Justice and Equality (Sioned Williams)
Local authorities must consider and address barriers to play for disabled children, including those with complex needs, through their Play Sufficiency Assessments and action plans.
We work closely with local authorities and Play Wales to support implementation of the Play Sufficiency Duty. Through the Children and Communities Grant, local authorities receive funding to help deliver actions arising from their Play Sufficiency Assessments to address local childcare and play needs.
