Will the Cabinet Minister provide an update on the timescale for a decision regarding a screening direction for the proposed Vantage Data Centre in St Athan?

A third party asked the Welsh Ministers to issue a screening direction in respect of the application for a non-material amendment 2023/00780/1/NMA which was being determined by Vale of Glamorgan Council. While that application has been withdrawn, consideration is being given to whether the development set out in planning application 2023/00780/FUL is EIA development within the definition set out in the Town and Country Planning (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2017. I anticipate that a decision will be made within the next few weeks.
