How will the Welsh Government ensure that families in rural areas can make use of their full Flying Start entitlements, including the new 20-hour childcare offer?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Minister for Social Justice and Equality (Sioned Williams)
Flexible childcare is crucial to supporting families with the cost of living and enabling parents to have more opportunities to work, study or increase their hours. We are developing a phased universal childcare offer alongside wider early years and family support that meets the needs of all communities, including working families and families in rural areas. We will also consider the advice of the Childcare Expansion Expert Group, including its discussions on how the developing offer can respond to different local circumstances, such as rurality, provider availability and the flexibility families need to support working lives.
