What is the Welsh Government doing to reduce waiting lists and expand access to pulmonary rehabilitation in Caerdydd Penarth?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Minister for Health and Care (Mabon ap Gwynfor)
The NHS in Wales is responsible for providing access to pulmonary rehabilitation services for appropriate patients. The Welsh Government expects the NHS to deliver care in line with recommended clinical practice from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence, and the British Thoracic Society. With regard to pulmonary rehabilitation, the Welsh Government has set a national planning expectation in the Quality Statement for Respiratory Disease, established a national clinical network to support service collaboration, and funds a national audit of respiratory care to support local service improvement.
