What is the Welsh Government doing to ensure that people who have suffered an adverse reaction to COVID-19 vaccinations have access to sufficient healthcare and support?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Deputy Minister for Public and Preventative Health (Nerys Evans)
Serious adverse reactions to COVID-19 vaccines are very rare. Individuals who experience adverse reactions following COVID-19 vaccination can access ongoing support through NHS Wales services according to their clinical needs.
The Welsh Government continues to work with NHS Wales, Public Health Wales and the MHRA to monitor vaccine safety through established surveillance systems, including the Yellow Card scheme.
People who believe they have been severely disabled because of COVID-19 vaccination may also be able to apply to the UK Government's Vaccine Damage Payment Scheme.
