Atebwyd gan Cabinet Minister for Education and the Welsh Language (Anna Brychan)
Promoting the Welsh language in all of our communities and ensuring that the Welsh language is accessible to all is an important priority for the Welsh Government. We will be publishing our response to the Welsh Communities Commission's Phase 2 report, Reaching all communities, strengthening the Welsh language, which will outline our priorities for areas such as Swansea.
There are currently no relevant capital grants from the Welsh Government's Welsh language department available for such developments. However, the Welsh Government provides a Community Facilities Programme which offers capital support for community centres such as Tŷ Tawe. We would also encourage trustees to contact Swansea Council to make enquiries about suitable funds such as Common Prosperity Funds or potential opportunities through the Swansea Bay City Deal.
