What plans does the Government have to allocate funding for nature recovery to areas affected by wildfires this summer?

Atebwyd gan Cabinet Minister for Rural Resilience and Sustainability (Llyr Gruffydd)
The Welsh Government recognises the significant impact that wildfires can have on biodiversity, habitats and ecosystem resilience. The implications of this summer’s wildfires on nature will be considered as part of the Wildfire Summit being convened by the First Minister in October.
The Welsh Government continues to invest in nature recovery through programmes such as Nature Networks, Ffermio Bro and the Integrated Natural Resources Scheme, supporting habitat restoration, improving the condition of protected sites and strengthening ecosystem resilience. This investment will help affected landscapes recover and become more resilient to future wildfire events.
