Will the Cabinet Minister provide an update on what funding they are providing North Wales Fire and Rescue Service to train their fire fighters?
Ateb
Atebwyd gan Cabinet Minister for Local Government, Housing and Planning (Siân Gwenllian)
This is a matter for North Wales Fire and Rescue Service (NWFRS). Like all Fire and Rescue Services in Wales, it funds its core activities by levying contributions from its constituent local authorities; it does not receive direct Welsh Government funding.
I am aware of NWFRS’s aspiration to build a new training centre at St Asaph, and I and my officials will have further discussions with NWFRS about that in due course.
